Reviews

…are now along the sidebar (every time I write that word I’m reminded of salad bar and my stomach lurches slightly in anticipation). My friend Kris–a photographer/writer studying in Montreal did this one. I attended Sage Hill one summer along with Oana Avasilichioaei, but haven’t had a chance to read her new book yet.

  1. I saw Oana read at the recent Ecopoetics Symposium…and while I was sufficiently stimulated to buy her book, I haven’t yet dipped into it.

And I compound the problem every time I cut through McNally’s on my way to the movie theatre or the grocery store – or stop by used book sales – because I’ve now got stacks of books waiting for my attention.

  2. Hi Tracy,

Thanks for linking to PoetryReviews.ca. People have responded very positively to Kris’ review of “Abandon.”

  3. Ariel: I remember Oana reading part of the dragon series at Sage Hill. I will get to reading it I hope. (I can relate to the stack of books).

Eric: A wonderful site. I’ve enjoyed reading it so far. It’s great to see a site devoted to poetry.

  4. eric, your site is a welcome addition to the review world, as the reviews you post seem (at least to me) to lean toward the positive, something sorely lacking in the current canpo climate.

tracy, the picture is lovely. nearly spring here too, though i counted a few snowflakes falling this morning before i had to turn away from the window.
